About Medical Informatics

The position is for a minimum of 12 months commencing February 2025 (beginning of the clinical year), and is specifically intended for RACMA (Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators) trainees who wish to have dedicated experience in the field of Medical Informatics and Digital Health
 

EMRI (Electronic Medical Record & Informatics) Medical Advisors will be expected to become subject matter experts for clinical information systems, with an emphasis on the EMR, but also will be involved in a variety of other clinician related systems. They will be expected to facilitate system requirements and design discussions and the change management process for any new / modified solutions.


Working as an extended part of the EMR&I Team, the Medical Advisor will act as a bridge between clinicians and the EMR or Digital Health (DH) Team to translate clinical practise into technical solutions and vice versa.
 

They will be expected to demonstrate clinical leadership and the ability to positively influence their peers acting as a visible and strong proponent of change and advocate the benefits the EMR and other clinical technology will bring to relevant areas of Monash Health.
