About Us- Monash BreastScreen is the largest Reading and Assessment Service (RAS) in Victoria. It provides screening, reading and assessment services for approximately 63,000 women per year in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. The RAS is located at Moorabbin Hospital.
As part of Monash Breast Services, Monash BreastScreen is a key component of an integrated continuum of multidisciplinary care for women from screening and diagnosis through the assessment of symptoms, diagnosis and management of breast cancer and benign breast disease.
About the Opportunity
This vital role, working within the Breast Services team, performs data entry and administration tasks to ensure that clients attending Monash BreastScreen receive their results for both screening and assessment within a timely manner. Data clerical staff maintain a high level of quality in their data entry and daily quality activities, which are required for adhering to the BreastScreen national standards and is essential for reporting/research purposes.
We are a dedicated team providing vital administrative support to the Reading and Assessment Service of Monash Breast Screen. We work closely with medical professionals to streamline processes and support high-quality patient care.
Duties include the end-to-end handling and tracking of client files, retrieval and distribution of clinical images, and accurate data entry with a strong focus on data quality and integrity. The role also involves data reception tasks, hanging and preparing images for clinical review, supporting assessment preparation, and undertaking follow-up activities relating to post-assessment surgery and treatment information to ensure records are complete and up to date.
This is a part-time, ongoing position based at the Moorabbin Hospital site.

You will also have:
- Friendly and helpful customer service and communication skills
- Proven organisational skills and can work autonomously
- Demonstrable ability to manage a range of administration responsibilities across a number of areas
- A quality focus whilst ensuring work is completed within the required timeframes
- Standards in thoroughness, accuracy and speed
- Record handling and experience in a health setting, particularly in a Medical Records Department, is an advantage
- Proficient computer user, including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs quickly
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication skills, in person, in writing and all electronic media
- Ability to think clearly and problem solve quickly
- Well-developed time management and analytical skills
