About the Role:
Join the Perioperative and Procedural Services team at Moorabbin hospital in this Administration Officer role supporting Theatres and Procedure. Working with the team and being supported by the Nurse In Charge, the main focus of the Administration Officer is to perform reception and clerical tasks to support the daily running of the unit.
Whether you’re working on reception or behind the scenes you’re someone who knows the importance of great customer service you’ll carry out your tasks professionally, whilst ensuring patient information is maintained confidentially and sensitively.
This is a part-time, fixed-term role (0.63 EFT / 48 hours per fortnight) covering parental leave until November 2026, working 3 shifts per week as rostered.

About You:
To ensure your success in this role your experience will include:
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on being receptive to patient needs
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective time management, planning and priority setting skills
- Previous experience with iPM (Patient Management System) is essential
- Demonstrated ability to perform a range of general clerical and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal
- Initiative, enthusiasm, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate skills and work practices and instigate professional development
- Demonstrated competence in the use of computer programs including MS suite of systems, Internet Explorer; online electronic patient booking systems (iPM/EMR)
