About Monash BreastScreen
Monash BreastScreen is the largest Reading and Assessment Service (RAS) in Victoria, providing breast screening, reading and assessment services to approximately 65,000 women each year across Melbourne's southeast and the Mornington Peninsula.
Operating from Moorabbin Hospital, Monash BreastScreen includes eight fixed screening locations and a mobile screening service, delivering accessible, high-quality breast screening services across the region.
As part of Monash Breast Services, Monash BreastScreen plays a vital role in an integrated multidisciplinary model of care, supporting women through every stage of their breast health journey, from screening and assessment through to diagnosis and treatment of both benign breast conditions and breast cancer.

Are you a Mammographic Technologist looking for your next opportunity or are you a Radiographer who is working towards CMP accreditation with ASMIRT. Either way, we’d love to hear from you.
If you are a Radiographer joining our team, we'll provide training and supervisions to support you to attain the Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP) from ASMIRT.
Our Mammographic Medical Imaging Technologists provide high-quality mammographic imaging services across our screening sites and assessment clinics. Screening services are delivered at our Moorabbin, Waverley and Casey sites, while assessment clinics are conducted at Moorabbin Hospital.
We operate our service Monday to Saturday, 7.00am to 5.00pm. Our team enjoy working set shifts across designated days and have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts when available.
Our team are assigned to a specific location; however, may occasionally be required to work at other Monash BreastScreen locations to meet business needs. As such, a current Victorian driver’s licence is required.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, we deliver safe, person-centred care while maintaining excellence in image quality, client experience and compliance with BreastScreen Victoria and Monash Health standards.
Key responsibilities include:

Performing high-quality screening and assessment mammography, including specialised imaging procedures.

Delivering professional, compassionate and client-focused care to all women attending the service.

Maintaining compliance with BreastScreen Victoria protocols, National Accreditation Standards and quality assurance requirements.

Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
-
Collaborating with radiologists, clinicians, nurses and allied health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary breast service.

Supporting safe clinical practice through adherence to radiation safety, infection prevention and workplace safety standards.

Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators including PGMI standards, image quality and technical repeat rates.
About You
As a qualified, skilled and compassionate Medical Imaging Professional, or a Radiographer working towards CMP, either way you are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and high-quality mammographic imaging services.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and are passionate about contributing to positive health outcomes for women. You can confidently manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders, and maintain high clinical standards in a busy service environment.
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA).

A Diagnostic Certificate of Compliance issued by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT).

A current Victorian Radiation Use Licence.

Commitment to ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality mammographic images in line with accreditation standards.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach to patient care.

Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise competing demands.
-
Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and evidence-based practice.
Desirable:

ASMIRT Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP).
-
Experience working within a BreastScreen or dedicated breast imaging service.
-
CCPM qualification or willingness to work towards achieving this credential.
