The McGrath Foundation

The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse - Gynaecology will provide collaborative clinical and supportive care for people and their families, along with the facilitation of communication across the multidisciplinary cancer care team, with a particular focus on supporting and guiding women through the medical oncology, adjuvant therapies and outpatient services. 

 

Our Journey

The McGrath Foundation is a registered charity providing care and support to all people with cancer. The Foundation provides resources and funding to allow the engagement of appropriately qualified Cancer Care Nurses, servicing hospitals, health care services and communities throughout Australia. In 2025, Monash Health are pleased to enter a partnership with the McGrath Foundation to introduce a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse - Gynaecology. 

 

About the Role

The Monash Health Gynaecology-Oncology Unit provides exemplory care to women with a gynaecological cancer from diagnosis to end of life care. The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse - Gynaecology will provide collaborative clinical and supportive care for people and their families, along with the facilitation of communication across the multidisciplinary cancer care team, with a particular focus on supporting and guiding women through the medical oncology, adjuvant therapies and outpatient services. 

 

About You 

To be successful in the McGrath Cancer Care Nurse - Gynaecology role, you will have expert knowledge regarding the spectrum of gynaecological cancer care, inclusive of health assessment, treatment pathways, referrals, and on-going facilitation of clinical and supportive cancer care. You will have exemplorary communication skills and an ability to work within the multidisciplary team, with internal and external stakeholders and, across multiple Monash Health sites.
