Monash BreastScreen is a proud part of the national BreastScreen Australia program — a vital public health initiative jointly funded by the state and federal governments. Our mission? To screen 70% of women aged 50 to 74 for early detection of breast cancer.  

Servicing South East Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, we support a catchment of over 250,000 eligible women (those aged 40 and over), delivering care through accessible community-based screening centres. If further assessment is needed, clients are seen at our Assessment Clinic located at Moorabbin Hospital, part of Monash Health. We currently perform more than 64,000 screening exams annually.   

About the Opportunity  

Are you a passionate radiographer ready to take on a leadership role? We’re seeking a dedicated Tutor Radiographer to support the development and training of the next generation of radiography professionals.  

This role is ideal for someone with strong clinical experience in breast imaging, who is keen to share their knowledge, mentor others, and enhance their own teaching skills in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.    

This is a permanent part-time role, working Monday to Friday, you’ll work across our screening sites at Moorabbin, Waverley and Casey Hospitals, our state-of-the-art Assessment Clinics at Moorabbin as well as our BreastScreen Victoria Radiography Centre (RTC).

At Monash BreastScreen, learning never stops. You'll have access to:

The RTC has delivered accredited breast imaging training since 2001. Now offered fully online, our academic modules gives learners the freedom to learn at their own pace, wherever and whenever suits them.  

The RTC opens doors for radiographers keen to explore training and mentorship roles as part of their career progression by being part of a team of tutor radiographers delivering the clinical module to trainees.  

About You   

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:  

• A relevant qualification in medical imaging/radiography  

• Strong Clinical background  

• A current CMP  

• Certificate 1V in Training and Assessment or equivalent  

• Current AHPRA registration  

• A valid Radiation Use License  

• Current WWC   

• Excellent communication and mentorship skills  

• Keen to develop or enhance a career in clinical education
