Opportunity for an Operations Director/Director of Nursing to lead care, culture and operations at Moorabbin, driving safety and innovation.

 

  • Full Time Fixed Term until January 2027 at Moorabbin Hospital
  • Drive performance, efficiency, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Specialties in Cancer Services in partnership with Peter McCallum

 

About the Role

This is a fixed term – Maternity Leave replacement, effective 9th March 2026 until January 2027

 

Reporting to the Divisional Director – Hospitals and Clinics, the Operations Director is accountable for leading and managing the operations of their site or program at Moorabbin Hospital. The specific accountabilities will include 

 

  • Ensuring the highest levels of quality and safety
  • Promoting a positive workplace culture 
  • The delivery of agreed service profiles
  • The promotion and facilitation of education, training and research and 
  • Financial performance within budget

This role drives excellence by ensuring robust systems are in place to manage risk, uphold patient safety, and reinforce clinical governance across the site or program.

 

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the behavioural framework and workplace culture, empowering the workforce to embrace innovation, adopt contemporary care models, and explore new service opportunities

You’re a dynamic and experienced health leader, ready to make a lasting impact. With a qualification in Nursing and registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA, you bring deep operational insight and the wisdom of extensive leadership experience.
