About the Role: 
Join our team as a Patient Services Assistant working as a Porter on a part time 18 hours a fortnight fixed term basis at Monash Hospital, Moorabbin. In this role, you will be rostered to work the following shifts:

  •  Every Tuesday for 9 hours 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  •  Patient Discharge Assistance
  •  Use of Lifting Machines and Slings
  •  Assisting Nursing staff as requested
  •  Transfer & cleaning of ward equipment 
  •  Patient transfers with use of equipment; bed movers and wheelchairs.
  •  Mortuary Transfers
  •  Assisting with Bariatric patients

About Us:
Support Services is responsible for non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Certificate III Health Services Assistant (required)
  • Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1 (desirable)
  • A competent level of verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
  • A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service from a health care or hospitality environment (desirable)
  •  Current Victorian Drivers Licence (desirable)
