Since opening in 1975, the 147-bed Moorabbin Hospital has become one of Victoria’s leading medical and research facilities, building a tradition of high quality care to its community. Home to the Monash Cancer Centre, one of Victoria’s premier integrated cancer treatment centres, provided in longstanding partnership with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
Ward 2 is a 16 bed Medical Oncology Inpatient Ward situated at Moorabbin Hospital in East Bentleigh.
About the Role
Ward 2 is looking for an enthusiastic, committed and dedicated Registered Nurses for a Ongoing Part Time opportunity. We are a 24/7 16 bed inpatient Oncology ward that specialise in oncology & anti-cancer therapies. We nurse patients throughout their cancer journey from diagnosis to end of life care.
About You
You have a positive attitude and personable approach towards patients and families. As a team player with passion and interest in this field, you actively participate towards service, our unit’s goals and patient outcomes.
As a Registered Nurse with demonstrated experience within a relevant and/or transferrable environment, you bring along knowledge and resilience or you may have strong motivation and genuine curiosity to take on further knowledge and studies as you start your career within Oncology nursing.
What You Need
You are a compassionate individual who possesses a patient-centred approach with an excellent bedside manner. Positive outcomes for your patients is a priority while of course following a high standard in your clinical approach.
You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence based nursing care to all patients. You are an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles.
- Experience in oncology is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in anti-cancer therapies is preferred but not essential.
- Completion of eviQs Anti-cancer drug administration course (ADAC) is preferred but not essential.
- You feel great satisfaction in making a difference to people’s lives
- Team driven & thrive working collaboratively within a passionate Oncology nursing team
