About the Role
Since opening in 1975, the 147-bed Moorabbin Hospital has become one of Victoria’s leading medical and research facilities, building a tradition of high quality care to its community. Home to the Monash Cancer Centre, one of Victoria’s premier integrated cancer treatment centres, provided in longstanding partnership with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
Chemotherapy Day Unit (CDU) are seeking enthusiastic, committed and dedicated Registered Nurses for fixed term opportunities to work within a Monday to Friday roster, No Weekends!
We have short term contracts available until August 2025 as well as a Maternity Leave replacement role at .6EFT until February 2026. We also have .4EFT available on an ongoing basis.
Your responsibilities within this role is administration of cytotoxic therapies by various techniques, with strong attention to detail and management of safety paramount to all patients within our care. You will support patients, families & carers with education of treatment with advocacy of a decent quality of life whilst on their journey.
About You
You have a positive attitude and personable approach towards patients and families. As a team player with passion and interest in this field, you actively participate towards service, our unit’s goals and patient outcomes.
As a Registered Nurse with demonstrated oncology / haematology experience within a relevant and/or transferrable environment, you bring along knowledge and resilience or you may have strong motivation and genuine curiosity to take on further knowledge and studies as you start your career within this area of nursing.
What You Need
Bringing your dedication to safe practice & delivery of quality care, we are also looking for you to have;
- Nursing Experience in Oncology & or Haematology
- Further studies in Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course (ADAC), or willingness to complete within 2 week supernumerary shifts
- Experience within Chemotherapy, Critical Care, Cannulation/CVAD experience, highly desirable
- Current AHPRA registration
