About the Role
Join our team as a Ward Clerk on a Full Time/Part Time basis (Monday to Friday rotating roster. Shifts 07:30 - 21:30), to work at the Chemotherapy Day Unit based at Monash Health Moorabbin.
About Us
Moorabbin Chemotherapy day unit is a 24 ambulatory care unit which operates Monday to Friday 0700 to 2130. The unit treats on average 45-50 patients a day ranging from patients with solid tumours to blood disorders.
This position will serve as the primary welcoming presence for the Chemotherapy Day Unit, providing professional, courteous, and patient‑centred frontline support. The Administrative Officer is responsible for the efficient admission and discharge of all patients attending the unit, ensuring a smooth and well‑coordinated experience. Key responsibilities include the arrangement of interpreting services, coordination of patient transportation, and the facilitation of timely communication across relevant Monash Health services. Exemplary communication skills are essential, as the role requires triaging patient enquiries and directing them to the appropriate service or team member with accuracy and professionalism.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills, experience, and knowledge:

Proven experience in healthcare administration, with the ability to navigate clinical or patient‑facing environments effectively.

Competence in using IPM, with strong data accuracy and system navigation skills.

A willingness to learn and develop proficiency in CHARM Oncology systems and workflows.

A professional, customer‑focused approach, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support patients, families, and clinical teams.

A proactive and well‑organised work style, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously within a fast‑paced environment.
