About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised Administrative Officer to join our team on a part time, ongoing basis to work at Casey Hospital based at Berwick. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Casey Emergency Psychiatric Services Manager and working with the broader Casey Adult Mental Health team.
In this vital role, you will provide frontline administrative and reception support, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy mental health service. You will be the first point of contact for consumers, families, carers and stakeholders, delivering professional, welcoming, and responsive service across phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Provide a professional and compassionate first point of contact for all enquiries

Manage busy reception, phone systems, and correspondence

Deliver high-quality administrative support to clinicians and the EPS Manager

Maintain accurate and timely data entry and reporting (CMI and other systems)

Coordinate medical records, documentation, and information requests in line with privacy requirements

Support service operations including stock management, invoices, bookings, and equipment tracking

Assist with meeting coordination, minute taking, and report preparation

Contribute to continuous improvement and quality service delivery
This Role works up to 4 days a week in conjunction with other administrative officers to ensure a 7 day a week service is maintained.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:

Demonstrated experience in administration, ideally within health or mental health services

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks

Confidence working with multiple IT systems (e.g. Microsoft 365, EMR/iPM/CMI or similar)

Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

A professional, respectful, and adaptable approach
-
A qualification in administration or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
