About the Consumer & Family/Carer Service 

Our service brings together both clinical professionals and Lived Experience staff to deliver a variety of programs and initiatives within the broader Mental Health Program. These include brokerage support, staff training and development, and activities that promote consumer and carer engagement and participation.  

 

About the Role

This unique position provides essential administrative support across the diverse activities of the Consumer & Family/Carer Service. Key responsibilities include coordinating meetings, managing carer brokerage and consumer/carer participation payments, assisting with event planning, and supporting the administration of professional development opportunities for the wider Lived Experience Workforce.  
 

About You

You are a skilled administrative officer with strong organisational abilities and advanced IT proficiency. You work confidently both independently and collaboratively, contributing effectively to team goals. Committed to delivering high-quality services, you are proactive in seeking opportunities to enhance systems and improve outcomes.  
 
What You Need:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in administrative roles, ideally within public health services 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and other relevant software applications 

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities 

  • Capacity to exercise sound judgment within established procedures, guidelines, and frameworks 

  • Excellent customer service and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
