About the role

Join our team as a Associate Midwife Manager with multiple part-time opportunities to work at Birth Suite / PAU based at Casey

 

As a key member of our team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Birth Suite and PAU, leading clinical activities, and enhancing patient care outcomes. This role provides the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and contribute to high-quality, compassionate care for women.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the Midwife Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department ensuring a positive and efficient environment for both staff and patients.
  • Support staff with escalating care as required, ensuring timely follow-up and facilitating smooth care pathways for patients.
  • Facilitate the care of high-risk patients by ensuring proper coordination of care and maintaining effective communication with the broader healthcare team.
  • Contribute to service improvements through involvement in various projects and initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior midwifery staff, offering advice and practical guidance to foster development.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and patient-centered care.

 

The opportunity is Ongoing fulltime or part time positions available - working across a rotating roster, 7 days a week.

About you

You're an experienced Registered Midwife who is passionate about delivering safe, respectful and culturally responsive care.

You'll bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
  • Recent experience across maternity services
  • Strong clinical judgement and communication skills
  • A commitment to woman-centred care
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster

Most importantly, you'll bring compassion, curiosity and a genuine desire to make a difference for women, babies and families.
