About the Role

 

Working closely with the Midwife Manager, you will:

 

  • Provide day-to-day operational and clinical leadership across maternity - Ward B
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment and staff development
  • Promote evidence-based, woman-centred and culturally safe care
  • Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture
  • Contribute to ongoing service expansion and innovation

You’ll be a visible and approachable leader in a fast-paced, supportive environment that values excellence and continuous growth.

 

This is the opportunity to work fixed term Part Time opportunity across a rotating roster – all shifts, 7 days a week.

 

Appointments to successful candidates will ideally be made based on the vacancy needing to being replaced

There may be the opportunity for Night Duty rosters on request

About You

 

You are an experienced Registered Midwife ready to take the next step in leadership. You bring clinical credibility, emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire confidence and accountability within your team.

You will also have:

 

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
  • Significant maternity clinical experience across a full scope of practice
  • Demonstrated leadership or management capability
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for developing others and improving services
  • A commitment to culturally safe, respectful care
