About the Role:   

  We are seeking  Anaesthetic/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team within the Operating Theatre at Casey Hospital, based in Berwick. 

  • Full time ongoing  position.

  • This is a rotating roster Monday to Sunday role, including weekends, On- Call and Night duty 10-hour shifts. 

Taking a team focus on care delivery, our primary focus is providing safe and efficient patient care. We have a strong focus on education and encourage staff to further develop their skills, within a friendly work environment.    
 

About Us:  

Casey Operating Suite is a department with 6 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms, providing care to  paediatrics and adult patients. We service a selection of specialties including Urology, Ear Nose & Throat (ENT), General Surgery, Colorectal/Endoscopy, Plastic Surgery, Paediatric Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. With a combination of elective and emergency cases, our acuity and pace are steadily increasing. 

About You: 

We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience within Peri-operative services and who have both  Anaesthetic and PACU nursing background, with dual skill in scrub/scout desirable. As someone with a strong work ethic, motivation and personal values you will encourage a supportive team environment and support our organisation in our relentless pursuit of excellence providing exciting and progressive care.  

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:   

  • Experience and qualifications (preferred) in Peri anaesthetic nursing both anaesthethics and PACU with desire of all areas including scrub/scout  

  • Able to facilitate a rotating roster  

  • Paediatric experience in both anaesthetics and PACU  

  • commitment to excellence and mentoring others   

  • dedication to safe best practice and quality care   

  • commitment to delivering person-centered care and advocating for your Care recipients   

  • Enthusiasm, compassion and an ability to work collaboratively   

  • Commitment to quality activities in the unit inclusive of audits and local level improvement projects   

  • Current AHPRA registration   

  • Australian working rights
