About the Role 

 

As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse within our Rehabilitation and Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) Unit, Ward H, you will play an integral role in providing high-quality care and support to older adults and rehabilitation patients. Working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with nurses, allied health professionals, and medical staff to deliver exceptional, patient-centred care.

Join our team as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse at Monash Health's Casey Hospital in Berwick. We currently have a part-time permanent opportunity working 64 hours per fornight (.8EFT), working across a 24/7 rotating roster.
 

About Us 

 

Ward H at Casey Hospital is a 30-bed Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine ward with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

 

Our dedicated multidisciplinary team works collaboratively with allied health and medical professionals to support patients in achieving their goals and transitioning to the most appropriate care setting, whether that is returning home, entering residential aged care, or moving to supported disability accommodation.

 

Common patient admissions include but not limited to:

 

  • Stroke
  • Fractures post falls
  • Functional decline
  • Reconditioning post CA diagnosis / treatment
  • Rehabilitation post-surgery e.g. craniotomy, hip and knee replacements, abdominal resections, amputations
  • Delirium
  • Rehabilitation post procedures: Tracheostomy/ Laryngectomy
  •

About You 

 

You have been developing your clinical skills as a Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, showing your commitment and passion for Patient Centred Care. To ensure your success in this role, you will have following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:  

 

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia to practice independently as an Enrolled Nurse, essential
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in a Rehabilitation unit, essential
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills coupled with delivering holistic patient centred care  
  • Flexibility and commitment to the operational needs of the program
