About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Perioperative Leader to provide operational and clinical leadership to our Casey Hospital Central Sterilising Services team.
- This is a Full-time ongoing position
Key areas of accountability include:
- Lead and support CSS staff across the unit in reprocessing RMDs for a wide range of specialties in 6-theatre complex with an additional 2 procedure rooms.
- Drive safe, efficient and high-quality processes adhereing to AS:5369 standards
- Collaborate with all stake holders and work closely with the Operating Theatre Nurse Manager to optimise flow
- Champion quality, safety and continuous improvement in central sterilising services.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, education and development to build a resilient and engaged team.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
About Us:
Casey Hospital is a key part of the Monash Health network, providing a broad range of surgical services to a growing and diverse community. The Casey Theatres complex consists of six operating theatres and two procedure rooms, supporting multiple surgical specialties in a busy, fast-paced environment. The central sterilising services unit is key to ensuring our perioperative patients recieve high quality timely care.

About You:
You are a passionate perioperative leader ready to take the next step in your leadership journey. With a strong background in sterilising services and a collaborative leadership style, you are committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes via high standards, while supporting and inspiring your team.
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) OR extensive leadership within central sterilising services as a Grade 5 instrument technician or above
- Extensive sterilising services experience with proven leadership or management experience.
- High knowledge and understanding of AS:5369
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- A demonstrated ability to lead change, influence stakeholders and build engaged teams.
