About the Roles:

Join our team as a Grade 2 Acute and Complex Care Physiotherapist. We have multiple opportunities available: 

  • Ongoing full-time at Dandenong Hospital
  • Ongoing full-time at Casey Hospital
  • Fixed-term part-time (0.4 EFT, 15.2 hours/week, 30.4 hours/fortnight until March 2027 at Casey Hospital

 

These positions sit within the Acute and Complex Care team, which provides physiotherapy services to patients in the General Medicine and Special Medicine Programs, as well as the Emergency Department (secondary contact). Each position predominantly holds a General Medicine caseload -  you’ll use your broad clinical knowledge and skills to care for inpatients with a range of acute illnesses, chronic diseases and complex care needs.

 

These roles provide valuable clinical, education and service improvement leadership across physiotherapy, allied health and the multidisciplinary care team, driving best-practice person-centred care. You will be responsible for supervising Grade 1 Physiotherapists, AHAs and undergraduate students.

 

You'll have the opportunity to use and develop diverse clinical skills as well as your leadership, people management, teaching and quality improvement skills. Being well supported by a large, dynamic and progressive team which includes Grade 4 Acute and Complex Care Stream Leader, Grade 3 Acute & Complex Care Senior Clinicians, Grade 2 colleagues and the site Physiotherapy Manager.

 

These roles are a great opportunity for an established Grade 2 Physiotherapist looking to further their career in a large hospital setting, or a current Grade 1 Physiotherapist ready to step into a Grade 2 role in a supportive environment.

 

 

About You:

To thrive in this role, you will bring the following:

  • Clinical experience in general medicine physiotherapy in a hospital setting
  • Good clinical reasoning skills with a passion for implementing evidence-based practice
  • Passion for providing clinical education
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ambition to grow your clinical, leadership, teaching and quality improvement skills
  • Proactive and team player attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

 

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or recognised equivalent degree   
  • Current unconditional AHPRA registration
