About Us
You will be joining Monash Health at an exciting time as we work in partnership with Alfred Health to be the premier shared public pathology service in Victoria. As a member of the pathology team you will be helping shape the direction of the partnership.
Monash Health Pathology is an integral part of Monash Health. It is the largest public provider of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 6 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional laboratories located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey, Victorian Heart Hospital and Wonthaggi Hospitals. There are currently 22 collection locations based within the hospital sites and community settings. Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors, and other laboratory services.
About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Medical Scientist with core laboratory experience in Haematology, Chemical Pathology and Transfusion to join our team at Casey Hospital. Morphology experience is desirable but not essential. You will work alongside our team of Medical Scientists and Laboratory Technicians and report to the Pathology Site Manager.

This is a casual position in a laboratory that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The role involves covering a range of shifts as required, making it ideal for someone seeking flexibility with no ongoing commitments.

Attention to detail, good analytical and interpretation skills, and effective communication are essential. Experience reviewing internal QC and troubleshooting is required.

The laboratory uses Beckman Coulter Dxi, DxC700 AU, DxH900, Access 2, Radiometer ABL90 and ABL800, Werfen ACL TOP 300 and 350, and Ortho Vision. Experience with these analysers is highly desirable.

What you need to know
The successful applicant will have a Degree in Applied Science (MLS) or recognised equivalent with experience in a multi-disciplinary laboratory.
