About ICFY

Infant, Child, Family & Youth Mental Health Service (ICFY) provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families. We work with the 0-25 age group in the Southern Region, providing a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services.

We work with families to address a number of complex issues they may be experiencing, including school refusal, parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, neuro developmental presentations and psychosis. We also work collaboratively with families, schools and other agencies to create identified areas for change and work strongly from a relational and systemic framework.

We now have a full time (or negotiated part-time) fixed-term opportunity available to work as a senior mental health clinician. Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology and Nursing disciplines are eligible to apply. We welcome an enthusiastic senior mental health clinician to join our thriving, engaged Adolescent Community Mental Health Team, providing clinic based mental health assessment, formulation and treatment to complex and acute young people in the South East. With exposure to a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists, we provide medium term treatment for children, adolescents and their families in the City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, Shire of Cardinia and the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula area.

A Day in the Life

Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe journey through theatre. We have a strong education focus and encourage staff to further develop their skills, along with being a part of a friendly and social environment to work in.

We are a tight knit team who are collaborative and support one another and value all of our staff. We offer clinical education sessions, training on the job and career progression to enable you to further develop your Clinical and Leadership skills.

This role will suit innovative candidates who strive to learn and embrace emerging practice directions. ICFY attracts clinicians who believe that families and individuals have the capacity to change and are instrumental in supporting this process. We are highly driven by internal collaborative relationships and value enthusiastic work practices and enhancing team relationships.
