About the Role:
Join our team as a Senior Occupational Therapist, Grade 3 on a fixed term opportunity until May 2026. Working from Casey Hospital, we have both full-time and part-time opportunities available: one full-time role within the acute stream, and a part-time role in both the acute stream and our aged and rehabilitation stream (this could be a full-time role across both streams).
The Grade 3 occupational therapist will provide expert clinical care and leadership in bed-based services. This includes clinical oversight of a stream-based OT team, providing education, supervision, and direct clinical support to clinicians. Clinical service to patients within their designated caseload and other areas will be provided as directed by the occupational therapy Management Team.
About You
As the senior clinician, you should have exceptional skill in both stream-specific and general assessment, intervention and discharge planning.
- Experience in providing high-quality clinical service to patients in acute and subacute settings
- Passion for enhancing patient experiences and facilitating occupational performance
- Demonstrated skill in teaching, supervision, and promoting the growth and development of staff
- An aptitude for ongoing learning and personal professional development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A keen interest in evidence-based practice, clinical inquiry, research, and service improvement
