About the Role
Are you an experienced Mental Health Social Worker looking for an opportunity to lead, influence and make a meaningful impact? Join the Adult Prevention and Recovery Care Service (Adult PARC) as a Grade 4 Senior Clinician and play a key role in delivering specialist recovery-focused care for adults experiencing complex mental health challenges. This is a part time (0.8 EFT), ongoing role based at Casey Hospital.
Based at Adult PARC in Narre Warren North, this ongoing part-time position combines advanced clinical practice with professional leadership, allowing you to support consumers, mentor colleagues and contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
In this role you will:
- Deliver comprehensive psychosocial assessments, interventions and recovery planning for adults with complex mental health needs.
- Provide specialist Social Work expertise, secondary consultation and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise, mentor and support Social Workers, graduates and students.
- Facilitate therapeutic groups and individual interventions that promote recovery and independence.
- Build strong partnerships with consumers, families, carers and a broad range of community agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Contribute to service improvement, clinical governance and quality initiatives while supporting evidence-based practice.
About Adult PARC
Adult Prevention and Recovery Care (Adult PARC) is a 10-bed residential service supporting adults aged 25-65 who are experiencing, or recovering from, an acute episode of mental illness. Operating as part of Monash Health's Mental Health Program and in partnership with Wellways, Adult PARC provides short-term, recovery-oriented support in a welcoming community environment.
The service offers both Step Up support to help prevent hospital admission & Step Down care to assist consumers transitioning home following an inpatient stay.
As part of Monash Health's extensive Mental Health Program, you'll join a service committed to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and person-centred care. Working alongside experienced clinicians, peer workers and community partners, you'll have the opportunity to influence service delivery while supporting consumers to achieve meaningful recovery goals.
About You
You are an experienced Mental Health Social Worker who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys supporting both consumers and colleagues. You bring advanced clinical skills, sound professional judgement and a passion for recovery-oriented practice. You will also have:
- A recognised qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Extensive experience working with people experiencing complex mental health presentations.
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical leadership, supervision or mentoring.
- Highly developed assessment, risk management and care planning skills.
- Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and external service providers.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and high-quality consumer-centred care.
