About the Role

The Social Work team at Casey Hospital is seeking a Grade 1 Social Worker to join the service on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 31 December 2025.

 

In this role, you will provide psychosocial assessment, planning and intervention as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will carry a designated caseload, applying evidence-informed practice to support patients and families, while developing your expertise across a range of clinical areas.

 

You will gain valuable experience working within service systems such as Family Violence, Child Protection, My Aged Care, the Transition Care Program and the NDIS, ensuring patients receive high-quality, evidence-based support. Alongside clinical work, you will contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives and maintain accountability to the standards of the AASW, including credentialing, supervision, code of ethics and practice guidelines.

About You 

 

You are a motivated and compassionate Social Worker, eager to continue developing your skills in a hospital setting. You will bring:

 

  • Strong psychosocial assessment and intervention skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Social Work Qualifying, or Master of Social Work (or equivalent, assessed by AASW).
  • Eligibility for AASW membership (mandatory for overseas-trained applicants).
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
