About the Role

 

We are seeking an experienced Grade 2 Social Worker to join the team at Casey Hospital in a full-time, ongoing capacity. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive and dynamic team environment where your clinical expertise and person-centred approach will make a meaningful difference to patient outcomes every day.

 

In this role, you will manage a clinical caseload within designated service areas, applying evidence-informed practice and advanced psychosocial assessment skills to support patients and families experiencing complex needs. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement, service development and research initiatives across the service.

 

A strong understanding of key service systems including Family Violence, Child Protection, My Aged Care, Transition Care Program, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Mental Health and recovery-oriented practice is essential to delivering safe, effective and holistic care.

About You

 

You are an experienced and compassionate Social Worker who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient-centred care. You bring strong clinical reasoning skills, experience managing complex psychosocial presentations and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. You will also demonstrate:

 

  • Experience providing high-quality clinical social work services within a healthcare setting
  • Advanced psychosocial assessment, intervention and discharge planning skills
  • Strong knowledge of relevant service systems and community supports
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning and quality improvement
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a supportive team culture
