About the Role
Are you an experienced Social Worker who has worked in the Mental Health sector ready to take the next step in your clinical career?
Join our Agile Psychological Medicine (aPM) Clinic as a Grade 4 Social Worker (Senior Clinician) at Casey Hospital, where you’ll use your specialist Social Work skills to support consumers experiencing complex mental health and psychosocial challenges.
As a Senior Social Worker, you’ll provide advanced psychosocial assessment and Social Work interventions working alongside a team of psychologists and medical professionals.
You will:
- Provide advanced psychosocial assessment, Social Work intervention and counselling
- Support consumers with complex issues including housing, family violence, AOD and financial concerns
- Provide advocacy, care coordination and connection to community services
- Develop recovery-focused plans with consumers, families and carers
- Work closely with Psychologists, Psychiatrists and other clinicians
- Provide specialist Social Work advice, consultation and clinical leadership
About the Program
The Agile Psychological Medicine (aPM) Clinic provides timely, evidence-based care for people accessing public mental health services, many of whom are experiencing mental health challenges alongside complex psychosocial circumstances.
aPM brings together Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers and other clinicians to provide coordinated care. Social Work has a distinct role in addressing the social, practical and systemic factors that can impact mental health and recovery.

About You
You are an experienced Social Worker who has worked in the Mental Health sector with strong clinical judgement and advanced psychosocial skills looking to further your career in Mental Health as a Senior clinician.
You will bring:
- Relevant experience in clinical mental health
- Advanced psychosocial assessment and Social Work intervention skills
- Experience working with complex mental health and psychosocial presentations
- Strong knowledge of community and social service systems
- Confidence working autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to recovery-oriented, person-centred Social Work practice
