About the role

The Older Adult Mental Health Service is designed for people with a mental health condition or problems with memory and thinking who are generally over 65. The community services operates from two main sites, Kingston Centre located in Cheltenham, and Endeavour Hills.

The Administration Assistant plays an important role in ensuring the service provided is of a high quality, including the following:

  • assisting with consumer queries over the phone and connecting them to the right service in a timely manner,
  • assisting community clinicians with administrative duties such as completion of outcome measures, entering of community activity hours, and registration and discharge of consumers entering or exiting the service.

 

This position is full time (part time negotiable) Monday to Friday 8:30-17:00

About You
You are enthusiastic about providing a service that exceeds expectations from consumers, their carers, fellow colleagues and the management team. You have experience in providing Administrative Assistance in a large public health setting, experience with Older Adults and/or Mental Health services is highly desirable. You are comfortable with an array of different administrative software and have a keen interest in learning new skills where required.

What you need

  • Relevant qualifications

  • Experience in a large public health service

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology

  • Understanding of software such as iPM, CMI, procurement, Word, Excel and MS Teams is highly desirable (training provided if required)

  • Experience working with Older Adults (65+) and/or mental health setting is highly desirable.
