About the Role
Join our team as an Associate Nurse Manager, to work Monash Newborn at Special Care Nursery at Dandenong Hospital in a fixed term part time/full time position until February 2026.
Our leaders love coming to work every day to be able to provide safe and excellent family centred care. You’ll enjoy the variety and challenge that comes from working with likeminded skilled senior staff and mentors, while being supported by your manager and other leaders within the program and broader health service. We are now looking to engage a highly motivated and experienced nursing professional to fill an important clinical and operational leadership role.
Reporting to and working closely with the Nurse Unit Managers, this role provides the chance to grow your leadership skills which demonstrating your highly developed clinical knowledge.
Key areas of accountability include:

Ensuring the delivery of high quality evidence-based nursing care;

Working collaboratively with sick and premature babies and their families, and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to achieve goals and health outcomes;

Establishing and maintaining effective communication with health professionals, support staff and other stakeholders, both internal and external to Monash Health;

Consistently role modelling nursing excellence, demonstrating your commitment to family-centred care and best practice standards; and
-
Contributing to the attainment and sharing of professional clinical expertise through networking with colleagues across the Monash Newborn Program.
We work within a team model of care - and in practicing within this model, we provide our patients and their families, a consistency in their care provision and clear communication across their journey.
This is a position requiring flexibility to work across a rotating roster, 7 days, including night duty and weekends.
About Us
The Special Care Nursery at Dandenong Hospital is a 3 bed Level 3 Nursery with facilities for ongoing neonatal care. Our priority is looking after any unwell babies from our busy birth unit/maternity ward. We are part of Monash newborn Team and we work together across sites to ensure that newborn babies and their families receive the best care and we able to get babies closer to home.

Current AHPRA registration to practice independently as a practitioner

Ability to meet the operational need of the position

Previous midwifery, neonatal or paediatric nursing experience
