Welcome to Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre 

 

Nestled within the leafy grounds of the Kingston Centre in Heatherton, the Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre offers a state-of-the-art, purpose-built centre that is dedicated to comfort, dignity, and excellence in aged care. With 150 beds across four thoughtfully designed floors consisting of 15 bed houses, our modern infrastructure supports a warm, home-like environment—tailored to meet the unique needs of every resident. 

 

The home is supported by a diverse team of nursing professionals including Nursing Coordinators, Nurse Managers, Associate Nurse Managers, Registered Nurses, Graduate Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Healthcare Workers who all work collaboratively with our Nurse Managers and Facility Manager. 

 

With the centre scheduled to open in late 2025, we are currently recruiting for multiple opportunities with both Full Time and Part Time Ongoing positions available.  

 

As we will be operating with a set shift roster, you will have the opportunity to submit an expression of interest for your desired shifts which is designed to meet operational needs while promoting work-life balance.  

 

About the Role

Join our dedicated care team as a Health Care Worker (HCW) and make a real impact in the lives of our residents. 

 

As a Health Care Worker, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centred care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your role will focus on providing basic personal care, assisting with daily activities, and supporting residents to maintain independence in a safe and inclusive environment.  

 

In this role, you will; 

  • Deliver high-standard, person-centred care in line with assessed competencies 
  • Assist residents with personal care and daily living tasks 
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ condition or incidents to the Nurse in Charge 
  • Accurately document and communicate care activities 
  • Adhere to organisational policies, Aged Care Quality Standards, and relevant legislation 
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for residents, visitors, and staff 

 

 

About You 

 

You are a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated support worker with the skills and empathy to provide exceptional care. 

 

You will possess; 

  • Valid NDIS Clearance and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (essential) 
  • Valid police check clearance including a renewal every 3 years (essential) 
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) (CHC33015) or equivalent (required) 
  • Certificate IV in Individual Support (Ageing) (CHC43015) or equivalent (desirable) 
  • Knowledge of residential aged care practices and accreditation requirements 
  • Basic clinical understanding and the ability to identify and report clinical concerns 
  • Excellent time management and systematic work habits 
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction 
  • Resilient, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement 
  • A problem-solver who acts within role parameters to ensure resident and staff well-being
