Welcome to Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre
Nestled within the leafy grounds of the Kingston Centre in Heatherton, the Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre offers a state-of-the-art, purpose-built centre that is dedicated to comfort, dignity, and excellence in aged care. With 150 beds across four thoughtfully designed floors consisting of 15 bed houses, our modern infrastructure supports a warm, home-like environment—tailored to meet the unique needs of every resident.
The home is supported by a diverse team of nursing professionals including Nursing Coordinators, Nurse Managers, Associate Nurse Managers, Registered Nurses, Graduate Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Healthcare Workers who all work collaboratively with our Nurse Managers and Facility Manager.
With the centre scheduled to open in late 2025, we are currently recruiting for multiple full-time, ongoing Nurse Manager positions. Boollam Boollam comprises four floors, each supported by a dedicated Nurse Manager. Bed capacity varies by floor, ranging from 30 to 45 beds.

This is a distinctive opportunity to join Monash Health’s flagship Aged Care centre and play a pivotal role in the development and establishment of the wards, working collaboratively with our experienced team to uphold and deliver exemplary standards of care.
About the Role
Reporting to the Facility Manager (FM), as Nurse Manager, you will oversee the clinical and operational management of the Unit, ensuring high standards of safe, effective, and respectful care for all residents. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture focused on continuous improvement, teamwork, and resident wellbeing.
As a member of the Aged Care Services leadership group, you will be a key role model for the philosophy and core values of Monash Health and we’ll look to you to deliver outstanding and effective leadership, coordination, relationship building and management of your team.
In this role you will be responsible for;
- Lead and motivate nursing and care teams to deliver person-centred care aligned with best practice and regulatory standards
- Drive safety initiatives, change management, and quality improvement projects
- Coach, develop, and manage staff performance to build a skilled, responsive workforce
- Promote a culture of respect, diversity, innovation, and evidence-based practice
- Manage clinical and operational risks, ensuring compliance with legislation and organisational policies
- Collaborate with residents, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to support holistic care delivery
About You
You bring recent leadership and management experience, including change and safety leadership, coaching and staff development, and team motivation. You are a culture driver who champions person-centred care, adaptability, respect for diversity, innovative thinking, evidence-based practice, and strong self-management.
You will also possess;
- Valid NDIS Clearance and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (essential)
- Valid police check clearance including a renewal every 3 years (essential)
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (essential)
- Minimum of 2 years prior nursing experience in aged care (essential)
- Proven track record in Nursing Leadership as a ANM or NM, (essential)
- A commitment to safe, best-practice nursing and quality improvement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive, flexible, and collaborative attitude
- Passion for person-centred care and resident advocacy
- Compassionate, empathetic, and team-oriented
