About the Role

Are you ready to take the next step in your Occupational Therapy career with a role that offers variety, purpose, and professional growth?

 

We’re seeking a passionate and driven Grade 2 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team on a part-time ongoing basis. We are flexible in the work days and hours and are seeking applicants who would like between 0.6-0.8 EFT (up to 60.8 hours per fortnight). This position offers a unique opportunity to work across two leading healthcare facilities – the Kingston Centre in Cheltenham and Monash Medical Centre in Clayton – with some travel between sites.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work directly with patients and clients to enhance their ability to participate in daily activities that matter most to them. You’ll carry out home-based occupational assessments, set meaningful goals in partnership with clients and the multidisciplinary team, and deliver impactful, occupation-focused interventions - including equipment prescription and home modifications - that empower people to live more independently and confidently.

About Us

The Occupational Therapy department at Monash Health are an integral part of the wider Allied Health and ward multidisciplinary team. This positon will also provide key leadership to the Occupational Therapy team in upskilling our staff in the area of home environment assessments

What you need

  • Experience in providing a clinical service to patients in an inpatient setting, including home assessment practice and environmental modifications
  • Demonstrated skill in teaching, supervision and promoting the growth and development of staff
  • Ability to work autonomously across streams within the scope of the role
