About the Role
Join our team as a Grade 1 Occupational Therapist on a full time, ongoing basis to work at The Kingston Centre. This role will also form an integral part of the wider Allied Health and ward multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, speech therapists, dieticians, social workers, medical staff, and nursing staff. With responsibility for a caseload of clients, you will be a valued member and contributor to the multidisciplinary team consisting of fellow allied health, a medical team and nursing team. You will work with patients and clients every day to enable them to improve their participation in occupations. As a valued member of our Occupational Therapy team your key responsibilities will include:

Striving to achieve the best care outcomes for our patients and their families/carers

Completing occupational assessments, setting goals with your clients and the multidisciplinary team

Completing occupational based interventions that make a different to patient’s everyday lives

About Us
The Kingston centre is a mixed rehabilitation centre with neurological rehabilitation. A movement disorders unit, aged rehabilitation and fast stream rehabilitation services. You will work with patients with varying conditions including

Orthopaedic
-
Amputees
-
Medical (cardiac, pulmonary and general deconditioning)
-
neurological (including stroke)
-
Dementia, delirium
-
Movement disorders (including Parkinson’s disease)
This rotation program also allows you to experience across a patient’s journey with a rotation in community health, community rehabilitation within an outpatient setting and acute care at Monash Medical centre. Occupational Therapy AHPRA registration and Victorian driver’s license

Appropriate degree qualification
