Nestled within the leafy grounds of Kingston Centre in Heatherton, Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre offers a state-of-the-art, purpose-built residential facility dedicated to comfort, dignity, and excellence in aged care. With 150 beds across four thoughtfully designed floors, our modern infrastructure supports a warm, home-like environment, tailored to meet the unique needs of every resident.
About the Role:
Join our team as a Patient Services Assistant (PSA) on a part time ongoing basis in this exciting opportunity to work at the new Boollam Boollam Aged Care Centre!
Being part of the Support Services team and reporting to the General Services Manager, PSA’s play a vital role in supporting nursing staff in the delivery of resident care. PSA’s do a range of tasks including cleaning, and equipment handling. Working as part of a team as well as the ability to work independently, PSA’s are responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and resident support.
Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Daily cleaning, discharge room cleans, and unscheduled cleans
- Resident transfers using equipment such as bed movers and wheelchairs
- Bed making and resident discharge assistance
- Use of lifting machines and slings
- Cleaning and transferring equipment
- Supporting clinical teams with resident care tasks as directed
We currently some exciting opportunities available to work Monday to Sunday in the following shifts:

- 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
- 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
- 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
About You:
To ensure your success in this role, you will ideally bring your prior experience as a PSA or Orderly within an Aged Care or hospital setting with strong demonstrated knowledge of infection control and hygiene practices. You will have a passion for care and approach residents with respect and empathy. You are a reliable and punctual team member with great verbal and written communication skills; as well as intermediate computer skills. Whether you work independently or as part of a team; you always follow manual handling, safety protocols, and procedural instructions. With a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service, you take pride in your work and have great attention to detail. You demonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, alongside a thorough understanding of resident identification procedures.
You are also required to currently hold:
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
