About the Role 
Great opportunity to join our Pharmacy team as a specialist Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine Pharmacist based at Kingston Centre. This is an ongoing full time role, part time applicants maybe considered.

 

As a specialist Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine Pharmacist, you are fully integrated into the multidisciplinary team at Monash Health. You are a valued team member and work side by side with doctors, nurses and allied health professionals to deliver excellent care in ambulatory and bed-based and home-based inpatient settings. 

 

Working in Victoria’s largest Hospital Pharmacy Department, you can enhance your knowledge through a broad range of experiences and opportunities. Our team of pharmacy clinical educators will support you to develop your clinical pharmacy skills through individualised training tailored to your needs.

 

A Day in the Life
Working closely with the Pharmacy Team Leaders, you’ll be recognised as a specialist knowledge resource in Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine. You will provide a high quality clinical service to patients and carers whilst building on your existing experience. You’ll also provide training and development to the Pharmacy team and other disciplines across the organisation.

 

You’ll lead quality improvement and research initiatives and will have the opportunity to engage with Pharmacy professional groups outside Monash Health. This role will be appointed as Grade 2 to Grade 4 dependent on your experience. To be considered for a Grade 3 or 4, a portfolio of evidence will need to be submitted.

About You
You already have significant hospital pharmacy experience and a genuine interest in Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine. You are highly professional, lead by example and role-model expectations to others. Your positive approach is infectious and people enjoy working with you.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications, such as Master of Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent will be highly regarded.

 

You can also demonstrate:

  • Leadership experience
  • Commitment to research, education and professional contribution in Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
