About Us

Allambee Nursing Home provides permanent and respite specialist aged care. Our 35 rooms have lovely garden views and are in a homelike setting. Independence is important to our care recipients, and we will do all we can to help maintain it. Being innovative and thinking outside the box is an important part of the role staff play at Allambee Nursing Home to give our care recipients a reason to wake each morning.

We care for residents, many of whom are living with complex care needs that need your clinical expertise, compassion and support. We are committed to delivering innovative best practice care that challenges and engages our clinicians and have the support of Monash Health specialities and in reach services to achieve our best practice goals.

 

About the Role

 

Allambee is an established, friendly and supportive team environment, working closely together to care for residents and their families along with providing opportunities for staff development and growth in areas that staff are passionate about. Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a resident’s dignity, wellbeing and safety. We have a strong education focus and encourage staff to further develop their skills, along with being a part of a friendly and social environment to work in.

 

We currently have several opportunities for Registered Nurses to join our caring team in either a Full Time or Part Time capacity. These are Monday to Sunday roles across a rotating roster. 

 

About You

 

You are a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse with exposure across mental health and/or aged health care. Having a compassionate disposition and passion to making a difference in the quality of our resident's life, is simply just what you do.  Being innovative and thinking outside the box is an important part of the role staff play at Yarraman to give our care recipients a reason to wake each morning. As someone with a strong work ethic, motivation, and personal values your contribution with the team will support each other and our organisation to be leaders in our field with exciting and progressive treatment and care. 

 

Having a compassionate disposition and passion to make a difference in the quality of our resident's life, is what you strive to do. Underpinning it all is you passion working within Aged Care, 

 

On a personal level, you:

  • Availability to work on a rotating roster including AM, PM and Night Shift, essential
  • Experience working in Residential Aged Care, desirable
  • Experience working in Mental health, desirable
  • Are patient-centred approach with excellent bedside manner
  • Are dedicated to safe best practice & quality care
  • Commit to delivering patient centred care & a patient advocacy
  • Are enthusiastic, compassionate & able to work collaboratively
  • Value and are an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principle
