About the Role  

You will be working in a team of two.  

4 x shifts per week 27 hours in total:

  • 7:30-3 (7 hours) 

  • 7:30-2pm (6 hours) 

  • 2 x 9:30-5pm (7 hours each)  

Rostered days will be negotiated with the preferred applicants however Wednesdays are non-negotiable . 

  

About the Role 

This position is responsible for the delivery of specialist training for prepping and scanning functions within the Scanning Centre and other Health Information Services Departments. Other responsibilities include Scanned Medical Record (SMR) auditing, monthly reporting of scanning and auditing activity and training of SMR end users to other departments at Monash Health. Key result areas include: 

  • Provide specialist training for SMR to new and existing Health Information Services staff.  

  • Provide refresher training for SMR.  

  • Assist in the management of internal auditing and data quality activities  

  • Provide specialist and refresher training to all HIS Auditing staff  

  • Maintain Audit Database  

  • Ensure that all staff are trained in prepping and scanning such that all relevant medical record documentation is prepared, scanned into the correct patient, correct episode and displayed correctly on SMR  

  • Ensure monthly auditing KPIs are met  

  • Develop and maintain training manuals  

  • Monitor accuracy and provide feedback to staff and the Scanning Centre Operations Manager  

  • Assist with Team Leader & System Support coverage when required  

  • Provide supervision or training to Health Information Management students  

  • Providing training at different locations at Monash health
