About the Role 

Job sharing the Scanning Operations Manager role (8 hours every Wednesday) as fixed term-part time until 9th March 2026.

The key function of the role is to support the clinical areas through the provision of accurate and timely scanning of health records to SMR. This position is responsible for staff management of a large team, incorporating the health record scanning functions, active management of reduction in duplicate URs, health record research requests and other projects. 

Key result areas

• Manage daily operations of the Scanning Centre including workflow and throughput
• Manage Team Leaders, SMR Trainer, Duplicate UR Team, Health Records & Research Coordinator and the Health Record Clerks
• Ensure all records are scanned and available for clinical and coding purposes in a timely manner
• Reduce the number of duplicate URs on Monash Health’s PMI
• Oversee the Research Requests function for the Scanning Centre
• Participate in any Record Management projects as required
• Ensure the Scanning Centre complies with Monash Health OHS policies and procedures
