About the Role:

Join our team as a Grade 3 Music Therapist in a part-time (0.2 – 0.4 EFT), fixed-term role at The Kingston Centre in Cheltenham, available until 30/01/2026.

The Adult Music Therapy team has an exciting opportunity to join the team at Kingston Centre in a temporary part time capacity (parental leave). The senior music therapist will have expertise working across various areas of adult inpatient care, including inpatient neurological rehabilitation, and geriatric evaluation and management (GEM). Supervision, clinical education and quality improvement activities form part of this role.

Music Therapy at Monash Health provides clinical music therapy services to adult and paediatric inpatients, mental health and community services; operating across Monash Medical Centre, Monash Children’s Hospital, Casey Hospital and the Kingston Centre. We form part of a dynamic allied health team and are committed to patient-centred, evidence-based care and supporting staff to continue their career development and lifelong learning.

About You:

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

What you need:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Music Therapy from an approved training course;
  • Eligibility for current membership and registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA);
  • Current ARIA Music Therapist Copyright and Reproduction licence;
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and clinical education;
  • Experience working in a public hospital/healthcare setting; and
