About the Role 
The Diabetes Women’s Health Fellow is a predominantly clinical outpatient role with some oncall commitments.  Clinic service includes a broad range of diabetes and female reproductive health related clinics. 

 

About Our Diabetes Unit 
The Diabetes Unit is a large multidisciplinary unit covering all 5 Monash Health sites integrating with Community Health and local GP Divisions. The aim is to provide integrated, transitional care across the community to acute sector continuum. Diabetes management is primarily focused on the ambulatory care setting and the unit now has 16 ambulatory care services across all ages and support needs. The Monash Health Diabetes Unit is located at both Dandenong Hospital with a 20 office clinical and research unit and Monash Medical Centre in the Special Medicine Centre. 
Main responsibilities: 

  • Patient assessment and management in consultation with the treating consultant 

  • Patient care coordination 

  • Intern/HMO support, supervision, feedback and teaching 

  • Student interaction and teaching 

  • Involvement in Quality and Safety activities of the unit 

 

About You 
We are seeking individuals who are interested in Diabetes and women’s health. Individuals who have commenced training in the area of Endocrinology or who would like to pursue a career in Endocrinology would be ideal applicants for this position. 

What you need:  

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)  

  • Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications  

  • Working with Children's Certificate  

  • Trainee of the RACP 

  • Working with Children's Certificate   

  • Current Drivers Licence  

  • All candidates will require Australian working rights.
