About the Roles
Monash Health is offering two full-time General Surgery Registrar positions and one part-time General Surgery Registrar position, with an immediate start. The part-time role requires a commitment of 1 regular weekday and 1:4 weekends (both Saturday and Sunday). These Unaccredited General Surgery Registrar posts are ideal for surgical trainees aiming to meet the requirements for application to various RACS SET streams. The positions provide a comprehensive range of surgical experiences, including General Surgery Registrar rotations, SET leave coverage, and rural General Surgery rotations in Warrnambool, Warragul, and Latrobe regional hospitals.

About You  

Ideally you: 

  • Have the appropriate level of clinical knowledge skills and experience to undertake the role of General Surgery Registrar 

  • Have relevant Surgical experience at PGY4 or above in Australia 

  • Hold or are eligible for General registration with AHPRA or are eligible 

  • Comprehensive theoretical knowledge 

  • A holistic approach to patient care with appreciation of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary aspects 

  • Well developed interpersonal skills 

  • Evidence of ability to work in a team 

  • Evidence of interest in academic pursuits including research
