Interventional Radiology/ Interventional Neuroradiology Unaccredited Junior Registrar
Applications for suitably qualified medical practitioners for the position Interventional Radiology/Interventional Neuroradiology Unaccredited Junior Registrar at Monash Health Imaging. Applicants must hold a medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) which is recognised for non-provisional registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. The position is offered on a 12-month fixed term basis.
About the Department
Monash Health Imaging is the largest public provider of imaging, therapeutic and interventional services within Australia with over 600 staff across the network. We provide Interventional Radiology (IR) and Interventional Neuroradiology (INR) services at 6 sites of the Monash Health network (Victorian Heart Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, Monash Children’s Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, Moorabbin Hospital and Casey Hospital). We perform more than 2000 body angiography procedures and 500 neuro angiography procedures as well as more than 4000 non-vascular image guided procedures per year. Including paediatric IR and INR procedures. The department also performs more than 18000 diagnostic vascular studies per year across US, CT and MRI and our Interventional Radiologists and Interventional Neuroradiologists also report a wide variety of non-vascular diagnostic studies. The service has a large inpatient consult service across multiple hospitals, with strong collaboration with our colleagues in various medical and surgical specialities. We also have a growing outpatient service, with regular clinics for BodyIR, Venous Incompetence, Vascular Anomalies and the Neurovascular Clinic.
We are now looking to appoint an Interventional Radiology/Interventional Neuroradiology Unaccredited Junior Registrar.

What you need:

A minimum of 2 years satisfactory full-time post-graduate experience, including recent demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in an Australian Health System.

Has the appropriate level of clinical knowledge, experience and skills to undertake the role of Unaccredited Junior Registrar

A medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) which is recognised for non-provisional registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

No adverse conditions or adverse restrictions on practice
-
Demonstrated interest or research in Diagnostic or Interventional Radiology/Interventional Neuroradiology.

Motor vehicle driver license – the Unaccredited Registrar may be required to attend Monash sites other than Monash Medical Centre (Clayton) during their duties.
