About the Role and You
The successful applicant will acquire experience in the diagnosis and management of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. He or she will also play an active role in movement disorder research, with involvement in both investigator-driven studies and larger scale clinical trials.
The fellow will work under the supervision of A/Professor Peter Kempster, Dr Yenni Lie and Dr Sanjay Raghav. Clinical training includes:
•    Attendance at outpatient movement disorders clinic. 
•    Inpatient movement disorders consultations.
•    Training in techniques for botulinum toxin injections for movement disorders.
•    Experience with advanced therapies for Parkinson’s disease
The successful applicant will be expected to participate in clinical research projects into movement disorders.
We are looking for applicants with good clinical and interpersonal skills, and ability to participate in clinical and research multidisciplinary teams.

 

What you need:
•    Registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority.
•    Completion of core advanced training in Neurology (or overseas equivalent) preferred.
•    Prior clinical research experience in movement disorders would be advantageous. 
•    Working with Children's Certificate
•    Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications  
•    Current Drivers Licence 
•    All candidates will require Australian working rights
