About the Role
We provide all the sub-speciality training experiences in psychiatry. Applications are invited from Medical Practitioners, with experience working in psychiatry, who already have full general registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA). Monash Health provides quality supervision, excellent training and structured educational programs and opportunities through all stages of specialist training. This diverse organisation includes a rich variety of professional developmental opportunities.
We currently have vacancies available to fill positions for current RANZCP registrars and/or HMOs wanting to join our psychiatry training program, for medical practitioners who already have full registration in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA). The positions exist in Adult, Aged and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service inpatient and community mental health services located at Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital and associated community mental health services which include CAT Teams, CCT, MST and ECATT services, Clozapine, Gender Dysphoria services, Mother baby eating disorder services and community based residential rehabilitation services. These services offer excellent training opportunities for HMOs, basic and advanced trainees of RANZCP.
What You Need to Know:

The positions are also suitable for doctors who are wishing to pursue a career in psychiatry;

Excellent supervision and training programs are offered;

A valid Working with Children Check and participation in the after hour’s roster is an essential requirement for these positions;

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications

Current Drivers Licence
