About the Role
The Monash Simulation Medical Fellow is an opportunity to support the planning, delivery and evaluation of simulation courses. In addition, the role requires participating in formal training in simulation-based education methods and completion of a project under the guidance of the Director of Monash Simulation. This position is accredited through the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) as a Specialist Skills Term and would be suited to an advanced crit care trainee (Emergency /ICU/anaesthetics) or medical registrar.
About You
You will be a registrar in a critical care or medical speciality. You will have an interest in medical education, and a commitment to expending your knowledge of simulation and medical education. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team is a pleasure for you, and the chance to help teach and train across multi-disciplinary boundaries is an opportunity that really appeals. You may well wish to undertake tertiary qualifications in simulation education such as a Graduate Certificate of Clinical Simulation, and will want support and guidance to assist with this. A balance of 0.5 FTE in weekday hours appeals to you to help with study or other commitments
What you need:

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications

Fellowship of the ACEM, CIC, ANZCA, RACP, RACGP or equivalent medical College

Working with Children's Certificate

Current Drivers Licence
