About the Diabetes and Endocrinology Registrar   

The Diabetes/Endocrine registrar will provide comprehensive consultative diabetes and endocrinology advice to all units at Casey Hospital or/and the new Victorian Heart Hospital.  The registrar will also provide ongoing care in a range of outpatient clinics. The registrar will also participate in the oncall and weekend roster for Diabetes/endocrinology at Monash Health. The registrar will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective person centred care, provide teaching and supervision of junior medical staff. The role will enhance your career in your chosen specialist field.   

   

About the Role:

  • Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care   

  • Be available to medical colleagues for consultation and liaison as appropriate regarding patient care   

  • Support education, training & supervision (both undergraduate and postgraduate) roles in the Diabetes and Endocrinology units   

  • Contribute to the professional and corporate life in Victoria's largest public health service by participation in appropriate committees and educational platforms   

  • Contribute to ongoing service improvement and clinical and workforce innovation to ensure Monash Health provides high quality accessible Diabetes and Endocrinology services to the South east sector   

   

About You  

What you need:   

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)   

  • Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications   

  • Working with Children's Certificate   

  • Current Drivers Licence    

  • All candidates will require Australian working rights.
