About the Honorary MiPreP trainee HMO Program
Monash Health is offering the Monash Health International Medical Graduate Preparation (MiPreP) Program, a boutique 14-week course specifically designed for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) already in Australia who are seeking to transition into the Australian healthcare system. The program combines an initial intensive 2-week learning block at Monash Health Clayton with two 6-week clinical attachments as a MiPreP Honorary HMO in areas such as Emergency, General Medicine, Aged Care, or Renal across Monash Health sites (Clayton, Kingston, Dandenong, Casey). There is also an option for a rural 4-week clinical placement with one of our clinical partners.
With a small, highly supported cohort, the course provides close guidance from a dedicated senior doctor, Medical Education Officer and administrator. Participants will work under provisional or limited AHPRA registration arranged by Monash Health, gaining hands-on experience and preparation for employment within the Australian medical workforce.
