About the Role
Monash Health is seeking motivated and compassionate Medical Interns to join our team. As an intern, you will play an integral role in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care while developing your clinical skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
As a Medical Intern, you will participate in a broad range of clinical activities, including patient assessment, ongoing management and discharge planning, under the supervision of experienced senior medical staff. You will work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and positive patient outcomes.
You’ll be supported through supervised clinical training, regular education sessions and a strong culture of learning, helping you transition confidently into independent medical practice.
This role commences 1 June 2026 to 10 January 2027 and will consist of three rotations in:
- General Surgery (Dandenong)
- Rehabilitation (Casey)
- Mental Health (Casey)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care under supervision
- Assess, document and manage patients across a range of clinical scenarios
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical handovers and multidisciplinary care planning
- Coordinate investigations, referrals and discharge arrangements
- Contribute to teaching, learning and continuous improvement activities
