The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Unit is the largest provider of women’s health services in Victoria. Monash Health cared for over 10,000 births last year, and it’s forecasted to increase further. About the Role
Twelve-month full-time equivalent Provisional O&G Registrar positions available commencing Monday 2nd February 2026 to 31st January 2027, rotating through the Monash Women’s sites, as well as our teaching partnering hospitals in regional Victoria and the private sector.
This position offers a unique opportunity for doctors intending to apply for the RANZCOG Training Program or SIMG FRANZCOG pathway. Successful candidates will be offered a structured and broad range of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology ensuring that they are competitively placed for future FRANZCOG training applications.
This position offers opportunity to develop procedural skills such as instrumental births and caesarean section as well as supervision of the birth suite and minor gynaecology operating.
As part of this position, successful applicants will be assisted in preparing their application for college training and interview.

Mandatory requirements of the role:

Primary medical degree (MBBS) or equivalent

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Employee Working with Children's Check

Current Drivers Licence
