About the unit
The paediatric haematology/oncology unit at Monash Children’s Hospital provides in- and out-patient care to approximately 30% of Victoria’s children and adolescents requiring treatment for oncological and haematological conditions. Trainees are supported by consultant oncologists and haematologists and will be responsible for managing junior rotating medical staff.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Fellow in Paediatric Haematology - Monash Children's Hospital. The Children’s Cancer Centre is seeking a suitably qualified and passionate clinical paediatric haematology Fellow for 12 months. This position is accredited for 12 months of core clinical haematology training through RACP. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to have extensive outpatient and inpatient exposure to paediatric and neonatal classical haematology, exposure to malignant haematology/oncology and gain valuable skills in haematology-related procedures and laboratory exposure.
About You:
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
- Working with Children's Certificate
Mandatory requirements of the role:
- Current Drivers Licence
- All candidates will require Australian working rights.
