About Dandenong Paediatrics    

Dandenong Hospital is accredited by the RACP for advanced training in General Paediatrics with a perinatal component, has provisional accreditation for basic training in general paediatrics and is accredited as an extended skills post with Eastern Victoria General Practice Training, in line with the RACGP vocational training standards. Experienced doctors looking to gain further Paediatric and Neonatal skills who believe they have the skills and experience to function at Registrar level are also welcomed to apply.  

 

About the Role    

This position offers a broad range of general paediatric and neonatal experience for those wishing to broaden their experience beyond a tertiary hospital. There will be extensive neonatal experience with the opportunity for both supervised and independent patient management, as well as the management of infants and older children with acute problems in a ward-based environment with significant emergency department liaison.  

There is an established general paediatric outpatient service which will provide excellent exposure to cases of varying complexity.  

   

About You   

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:   

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)  

  • Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications  

  • Working with Children's Certificate  

Mandatory requirements of the role:   

  • Current Drivers Licence   

  • All candidates will require Australian working rights.
